Kerala, India - Colors From Nature And God's Own Country
shared by Barbara Rotella
Hi everybody!
Here is the first post dedicated to my trip to India! Actually I started writing when I was still there, but for lack of time I could not publish it before! I leave my thoughts, hoping to were carrying there, among those magical scents and those colors!
Here I am in the middle of India , thanks to Kerala Tourism , specifically in the south, in an amazing place totally in another world physically andculturally. Here I am at last, after eight days, to block my thoughts, but this time not as the other days through a journal that will publish to return, but simply by following all the emotions running through my heart right now.
Phrase obvious but ever so true: v ivy another reality, it makes you change perspective , thoughts, emotions. These days, I did nothing but photograph everything , absolutely everything was spinning around, trying to fix the memory card are not those images but also those emotions . I have to say, India is a fantastic country . A paradise for those who love photography, another dimension for those who love nature. And as you know already with these two conditions, I can say that won me over completely.
Just walk down the street, look around, and you feel completely transported into a photography where the contrast is maximum, where the saturation is exaggerated where everything is music and confusion , but of the confusion that inevitably puts you joy and makes you smile . And the beauty is that it makes you smile without realizing it , because everyone around smile, women on the street, children at the bus stop, the men near the bacarelle (obviously colored), taxis that run from side to side , the bus with no windows that continually whizzing and it would appear in no particularorder, the horns echoing in the city, the cows crossing the road, elderly people sitting on street corners, even barefoot beggars, do not ask with bullying charity, but you they smile and they send you a greeting. And 'absurd to say, but I have never felt so "welcome" in a country, despite the many fears before we left! And everything, absolutely everything this mix can only be contagious , and convey this positive energy that you'd swear to be there for those roads .
Oh, my God, I have never seen such a lush and rich around a city, in the streets, in the markets, everywhere! What most leaves me speechless, is that for some reason also the largest city visited so far, s t seems has grown parallel to the nature that there was , and that therefore there is still around. It 'something sensational, you see houses, buildings, hotels, barracks, completely immersed in that nature so green , almost as if they were inserted right there by chance, leaving untouched nature around. Everything is so green and lush, and it seems that in the background there is a green card, and instead, just like the children of the more adventurous fantasies, which extends out of sight, is nothing more than that authentic and unspoiled lush: Giugla.
Hence the two main reasons why this country has conquered me immediately, and covering the photographs I can still feel you there in thosestreets! But there is still so much to tell and soon I'll get!
